Full time, part time, and remote consulting opportunities
Genome Life Sciences currently has multiple opportunities for highly skilled professionals in bioinformatics, genomics and Next-Gen Sequence analysis.
The positions require end-to-end complete life cycle experience in data management, analysis and workflow on all NGS platforms—Illumina, ABI, 454—from
sequence bottomembly to downstream analysis.
Responsibilities:
Carry out NextGen data analyses across concurrent projects and provide biological interpretation including mutation bottomessment, expression
analysis, prioritization of identified loci/gene lists, correlation with data from other sources/experimental approaches, and derivation of common
pathway/network information.
Expertise in statistical and computational methods for the analysis of complex, high-throughput biological data
Develop predefined analysis workflows to meet client project requirements
Requirements:
• Ph.D. or equivalent in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics or Computational Biology
• Two to four years of experience in bioinformatics & NGS data analysis
• Demonstrated fluency in UNIX/Linux and high performance computing environments
• Demonstrated programming/scripting ability in languages such as Perl/Python/Java/C++
• Experience in algorithm generation and/or computational methods implementation
• Strong in statistical/mathematical packages such as R/MATLAB
