Manager, Risk Management Services
Role Overview:
The position will provide Risk Management Services (RMS) technical and regulatory expertise for the Regional Sales Offices in the Global Operations
Americas - North America (USA/Canada) area to ensure that facilities comply with all applicable federal, state, local and company EHS requirements,
and Business Continuity Management requirements. This includes EHS program planning, budgeting and implementation, EHS project management support,
code and procedure compliance, performance monitoring and analysis, and business continuity support.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures that RMS programs are developed and implemented for the North America commercial locations, in compliance with company and external
requirements. Maintains RMS Management Systems that enhance the RMS programs.
- Determines RMS requirements that apply to the operating needs at the sites including creation and review of standard operating procedures,
preparation of permit applications, registrations, and certifications, overview of routine and special reports, and overview of routine
inspections.
- Develops relationships with North America GO Lead and RSO GO Site Leads, and maintains site network approach to manage RMS support. Develops
relationships with Global EHS, GO CoE’s, Occupational, Health & Wellness and peers to enhance alignment and leverage network resources.
- Prepares data and reports designed to measure performance against established EHS goals and metrics.
- Provides guidance and support for the development and maintenance of Emergency Action Plans and Business Continuity Programs in alignment with
external and company standards and guidelines.
- Establishes standard approach for incidents, injury and illness case management, including reporting, investigations and record keeping of cases.
- Establishes RMS training matrix and ensures required training is developed and conducted. Provides direction and support for RMS awareness
campaigns.
- Determines budget considerations for RMS program implementation and manage expenditures accordingly.
- bottomists sites in preparation for corporate RMS Audits, managing external agencies inspections, development of action plans and completion
and resolution of related corrective actions.
- Provides direction and support for environmental sustainability activities at the RSO sites.
- Supports RSO leased sites to coordinate with Building Owners for activities with potential RMS impacts.
- Conducts EHS reviews, workplace evaluations and endorsement for capital projects, including consolidation projects. Ensure EHS considerations are
factored into design and construction projects, and that projects comply with Global EHS standards and EHS regulations governing the site.
- Provides EHS support for Real Estate transactions and contributes in Due Diligence activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, safety management, engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years as an EHS professional in the pharmaceutical or related industry, with broad based experience.
- Broad based knowledge of Environmental, Occupational Health, and Safety regulations.
- Relevant professional certifications preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated, self-starter, able to multi-task and work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills, including cost analysis and budgeting
- Responsive, customer service attitude
- High degree of computer literacy
